How To Create An Easy Holiday Cookie Charcuterie Board
This post is sponsored by Pepperidge Farm®, Pretzel Crisps®, and Snyder’s of Hanover®, all opinions are my own.
It’s the holiday season and you may be wondering, what are some easy ways to entertain your guests? This holiday cookie charcuterie board is super simple and can be put together in as little as twenty minutes!
You can even get the kids involved in cookie decorating and make it an evening holiday activity for your entire household. With some planning ahead – this holiday cookie platter comes together nicely and saves you tons of time.
Save yourself some time and opt for some tasty, store-bought cookies and pretzels. Milano® Double Milk Chocolate, Chessmen® Butter Cookies, Snack Factory® Pretzel Crisps and Snyder’s of Hanover® Rods are just what you need to get started.
Milano® Double Milk Chocolate cookies have been a classic treat for years and they serve the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness to add to your holiday cookie charcuterie board.
When it comes to dipping your cookies and pretzels, add some colored chocolate to give your cookie board a festive look. I even grabbed some Christmas-colored sprinkles and a bag of crushed peppermint to add as toppings. These two details went a long way and added a nicely decorated touch to the charcuterie board.
You don’t have to stop there! You can get as creative as you’d like. Especially after saving so much time on having to bake the cookies.
The Chessmen® Butter Cookies are topped with Christmas trees, candy canes and even Christmas bells, so I took it upon myself to try and frost the Christmas tree cookies and topped the cookies with sprinkles.
There’s seriously no wrong way to do this.
Now placing everything on the platter…
You want to place your biggest objects on the platter first, then work your way around those. For this cookie board specifically, we added pretzel rods – so those went on first.
If you get to this step and it seems as if you didn’t decorate enough, try adding some plain treats at the bottom – then stack your chocolate-dipped treats on top.
Also, consider if you’d like to place any dips, remaining chocolate, or toppings on the tray as well. You’ll want to place them on your cookie platter before adding the rest of the cookies. I just went with a small bowl of crumbled peppermint candies in the middle.
You’ll notice that I left the Pretzel Crisps plain. Again, there are no rules to this. Get as creative as you’d like. However, I didn’t want to over-do it with these. Plus, they’re already a great texture and flavor, without the added chocolate. So placing them around the decorated cookies, was just fine.
And there you have it! A nicely decorated, super easy holiday cookie charcuterie board!
