I initially got this idea back when I partnered with Brach’s to host a candy corn sweepstakes. You can view the reel here:
For the vase, I simply emptied the entire bag of candy corn into the vase and stuck the stems down the center. I included instructions below if you need a more formal way of recreating this look.
However, either way will work! Here’s another look at the video:
I’ve also been asked if I had any trouble with the candy corn sticking to the faux flower stems, but I didn’t have any issues with that. If anything, the candy corn does get stuck at the bottom of the vase, but a simple rinse with warm water will get them out. Happy decorating!

Materials You’ll Need:
A tall, clear vase
Candy corn (enough to fill the vase)
Faux flowers (choose fall-themed colors like orange, yellow, and red)
Floral foam (optional)
Ribbon or twine (optional)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors
Step 1: Prepare Your Vase
Begin by selecting a tall, clear vase. The transparency of the vase will allow the vibrant candy corn to shine through. Make sure to clean and dry the vase thoroughly before starting the project.
Step 2: Fill the Vase with Candy Corn
Take your candy corn and start filling the vase, layer by layer. You can create a gradient effect by placing white candy corn at the bottom, followed by yellow, and then orange. Continue this pattern until the vase is nearly full, leaving a few inches at the top to accommodate the faux flowers.
Pro Tip: To save on candy corn, you can place a smaller vase or container inside the larger one, and then fill the space between with candy corn.
Step 3: Add Floral Foam (Optional)
If you want to secure the faux flowers more firmly in the vase, consider adding a piece of floral foam at the top of the candy corn. Simply cut the foam to fit the opening of the vase, then push it down on top of the candy corn. This will give you a stable base for arranging your faux flowers.
Step 4: Arrange Your Faux Flowers
Now, it’s time to add the faux flowers to your Candy Corn Vase. I loved these candy corn stems. Trim the stems of the flowers to the desired length, making sure they are long enough to reach the bottom of the vase. Arrange the flowers in a way that complements the candy corn colors and creates a balanced and pleasing look.
Step 5: Secure the Flowers (Optional)
To ensure that the faux flowers stay in place, you can use a hot glue gun to attach them to the floral foam or the candy corn. Be cautious while using hot glue and avoid letting it come into direct contact with the candy corn to prevent any melting.
Step 6: Add a Finishing Touch (Optional)
To give your Candy Corn Vase an extra touch of charm, you can tie a ribbon or twine around the neck of the vase. Choose a color that matches the fall theme and complements the candy corn and flowers.

With just a few simple steps, you’ve created a charming DIY Candy Corn Vase that will brighten up your home decor for the fall season. This eye-catching centerpiece not only adds a pop of color and whimsy but also satisfies your sweet tooth in a unique way.

Place it on your dining table, mantel, or anywhere you want to infuse a bit of autumn magic into your living space. Enjoy the season with this delightful and delicious decoration!
